This green-glazed Provençal pot, 19th century and found in the South of France, once sat in a farmhouse kitchen storing olive oil or water. The emerald glaze, worn in places from fire and use, gives it the kind of patina you can’t fake. Today it doesn’t need to work quite so hard - style it with fresh herbs on the counter or let it stand alone as the sculptural relic it is.
