Historic Jeweler's Table

France, 19th Century

$3,595

A table with stories carved into its work surface. Once the workbench of a Parisian jeweler in the late 19th century, this sculptural piece bears the marks of a practiced hand. Meant to be pushed against a wall it has three workstations, with two drawers each, original bench-pin slots, and that unforgettable clover-shaped top that made room for multiple makers at once. Built from solid wood and found in Béziers, it remains sturdy, soulful, and ready for new purpose. Keep it in a studio where ideas spill across its surface or use it as a desk that refuses to blend in. Sylvie loves it paired with upholstered chair and a stack of sketchbooks, honoring its creative past while inviting the next round of brilliance.

  • Notes from Sylvie:

There are six drawers total, one wooded and one thinner drawer with an aluminum bottom on each of the three working sides. The top has marks and scratches from years of use as a work bench, but its perfectly functional to this day as a jewelers bench or a desk. Comes with the original bench-pin slots if you want to work on your jewelry making skills. As with many antiques, this piece may show gentle repairs, cracks, scratches, holes, years worth of patina, and stains - just the way we like it.
