Walnut Shelf Table

France, 19th Century

$895

Every so often, a piece feels like a secret let out - this 19th-century walnut shelf table, found in Avignon, is one of them. Originally from a farmhouse in Lacoste, its scalloped apron and raised sides set it apart, a form you rarely see outside the region. The walnut has a deep, natural tone that only comes with age, the kind that makes you stop and look twice. Sylvie imagines it now in an entryway layered with flowers and books, or as a bed side moment, holding all your bedside essentials.

  • Dimensions:

    31" H x 38" W x 21" D

  • Material:

    Oak Wood and Metal Hardware

  • Notes from Sylvie:

The interior of the shelf is slightly uneven with cracks and holes from years of use. There are gaps along the top edge and wear to the finish. Past woodworm holes, repairs, cracks, patina, and stains all add to its character.

  • Collector's Notice:

As antique and vintage pieces, items may show signs of age and wear. Minor variations from the images may occur unless otherwise noted. All sales are final.
