Discovered in Aix-en-Provence, this late 19th-century walnut side table features cabriole legs curve, a single drawer and a top that bears the marks of decades of daily use. Pieces like this would have stood quietly in bedrooms or salons, holding letters, lamps, or a stack of well-thumbed books. Sylvie loves it as a reading chair companion, layered with novels and a glass of wine, or in an entryway collecting the day’s essentials. Exactly as pictured.

This piece is a little delicate, with a slightly loose top and wear to the finish on the top and legs. Its perfectly functional, just needs to be cared for. Past woodworm holes, repairs, cracks, patina, and stains all add to its character.
