This early 20th-century limestone trough, found just outside Avignon, was once used for watering animals and still bears a drainage hole at the base. Hand-carved from a single block of stone, it has a beautifully uneven texture and soft, organic curves shaped by time and touch. Sylvie loves it indoors or out, lined with a bag and filled with ice to chill a bottle of sparkling, or as an outdoor planter- or even a bird bath, because everyone deserves a little luxury.
