A stunning Louis-Philippe mirror, traced to mid‑19th‑century France, with softly rounded upper corners, crisply mitred bottom corners, and a gilded solid‑wood frame crafted from oak. The original gold finish has mellowed beautifully, developing rich patina where subtle traces of red bole peek through, this is how you know its authentic. Mirrors from this period reflect the refined elegance of the 1830–1848 era, defined by neoclassical restraint with just enough decorative flourish. Sylvie loves styling this one atop a tall dresser in a sunlit bedroom.

This is an antique mirror frame there are places where the gilt is worn through to the red and white underneath. It is in lovely shape, but there are a few minor chips in the frame. The antique glass has several black age spots that we just adore.
