Sourced in the bustling markets of Barjac, this porcelain soup tureen once took pride of place at the French table - filled with steaming broth, ladled out course by course. Its shape is generous, with a domed lid crowned by a finial and side handles shaped for carrying straight from kitchen to feast. The glaze is soft and creamy, carrying the marks of time in all the right ways. Sylvie likes to set one on the dining table as a centerpiece, filled with nothing but light spilling through the lid. Exactly as pictured.
