  • Notes from Sylvie:

These are beautiful and sturdy chairs and the rush seats are in really good shape. There are scuffs and scratches to the varnish though.

We were thrilled to come across this rare set of four chairs while exploring an antique fair in the south of France. Modeled after Charles Dudouyt’s signature style. You can almost imagine them once sitting around a French farmhouse table, catching the sunlight through open windows, while a family gathered for their midday meal. Four available, sold seperately.

Marseille, the vibrant port city of the Mediterranean, is a place where history, culture, and tradition collide. Founded over 2,600 years ago, Marseille is one of France’s oldest cities, with a rich tapestry woven from its diverse influences—Greek, Roman, and beyond. The city’s bustling markets, colorful neighborhoods, and sun-soaked coastline have long been a melting pot of ideas, artistry, and craftsmanship.

The surrounding Provençal landscapes, with their olive groves, terracotta rooftops, and rugged coastline, offer a glimpse into the soul of Southern France. It’s here, in and around Marseille, that we uncovered our latest collection of antiques—pieces that speak to the city’s maritime spirit and eclectic soul.

Sylvie rummaged through dusty, forgotten warehouses, met with third generation antique dealers and found herself wandering through vibrant seaside markets to curate this collection.
