We found these Mini Square Oak Stools tucked away in a warehouse nestled in the hills of Marseille. Their solid oak construction and beautifully detailed legs hint at a time when craftsmanship and design went hand in hand. Originally made for everyday use, they’ve weathered the years with grace and are in great condition, ready to serve as stylish little companions in your home. Whether they’re by your bedside holding your favorite books or scattered around your living space as accent pieces, these stools have a quiet, timeless charm.

Marseille, the vibrant port city of the Mediterranean, is a place where history, culture, and tradition collide. Founded over 2,600 years ago, Marseille is one of France’s oldest cities, with a rich tapestry woven from its diverse influences—Greek, Roman, and beyond. The city’s bustling markets, colorful neighborhoods, and sun-soaked coastline have long been a melting pot of ideas, artistry, and craftsmanship.

The surrounding Provençal landscapes, with their olive groves, terracotta rooftops, and rugged coastline, offer a glimpse into the soul of Southern France. It’s here, in and around Marseille, that we uncovered our latest collection of antiques—pieces that speak to the city’s maritime spirit and eclectic soul.

Sylvie rummaged through dusty, forgotten warehouses, met with third generation antique dealers and found herself wandering through vibrant seaside markets to curate this collection.
