Not your average pitcher. We picked up this glazed terracotta cruche in Avignon, where it once served a very practical role - holding water, wine, or olive oil at the table. The form is classic: rounded belly, one stout handle, and a little spout that makes it all feel just slightly sculptural. Its pale glaze shows traces of use, the kind of wear you’d expect from a piece that lived in a farmhouse kitchen. Sylvie likes hers styled with a single branch on the mantel, but you’ll find it holds its own anywhere. Exactly as pictured.
