Provençal Rush Bench

This is a true Sylvie favorite. The 1900 Provincial French Rush Seat Bench is a wonderful example of early 20th-century French provincial furniture. Hard carved from oak with a hand-woven rush seat, this ben bench were commonly found in rural French homes and farms. Their sturdy construction is evident in the turned wooden legs and the natural patina developed over time. Sylvie adores using these benches at the end of a bed or along a hallway styled with books on her surface and vessels at her feet.
