Italian Pot- Black
Italy, 19th Century
$295
Handmade in Southern Italy, we discovered this terracotta jar from an Italian dealer passing through the South of France. The earthen surface is layered with time - darkened, weathered, and textured with the marks of age. Its classic amphora shape, with small handles at the sides, speaks to its utilitarian past, once used for storing olive oil or grains. Now, it stands as a sculptural moment, to style your shelves, table scapes and entryways. No embellishments, no pretense - just history, captured in clay.
