Extra Large confit pots? Yes you heard right. Very rare and extremely beautiful! These vintage yellow confit pot are a true piece of French culinary history. In the days before refrigeration, French kitchens relied on these pots to preserve meats like duck and goose, a method known as 'confit.' The top half is glazed in a rich yellow, while the bottom remains unglazed - a design that allowed the pot to be partially buried in cool earth, keeping its contents fresh. Their chips and imperfections are badges of honor, telling tales of bustling kitchens. Sylvie loves them perched on a shelf holding fresh herbs or as a centerpiece on your dining table. Expect variations in patina, chips, cracks and shades of yellow and ochre, but rest assured, we only bring our favorites back from France.
