This rare terracotta vinegar jar is a show stopper. Originally from Lezoux, it was once used by French vintners to age and store vinegar. With its weathered surface and the bold "3" marking its capacity, it makes for a striking decorative piece in your kitchen as spoon holder or as a vase in the middle of your dining table.

While wandering through a lively market in Avignon, we spotted this terracotta vinegar jar tucked between piles of old pottery and linens. Its rich, weathered surface and bold number "3" immediately drew us in. We found out that it came from Lezoux, where it had been used by vintners in the early 1900s to store vinegar in cool, stone cellars. Holding it, we could feel the history of its practical past, and we knew it deserved a new home, continuing its story with you.
