  • Notes from Sylvie:

These beautiful pieces have years of weathering from sitting outside.

Designed by Swiss visionary Willy Guhl, this Waffle Pot was meant to live outside, aging gracefully through years of exposure to the elements. Its concrete surface, textured with varying levels of patina, tells a story of time and weather, from gentle rainfalls to harsh sun. Originally designed for gardens, the pot's wavy, organic shape blurs the line between functional planter and modern sculpture, embodying the minimalist yet daring aesthetic Guhl was known for.

Although the design is originally from Switzerland, we found this piece in Marseille. A vibrant port city of the Mediterranean, it is a place where history, culture, and tradition collide. Founded over 2,600 years ago, Marseille is one of France’s oldest cities, with a rich tapestry woven from its diverse influences—Greek, Roman, and beyond. The city’s bustling markets, colorful neighborhoods, and sun-soaked coastline have long been a melting pot of ideas, artistry, and craftsmanship.

The surrounding Provençal landscapes, with their olive groves, terracotta rooftops, and rugged coastline, offer a glimpse into the soul of Southern France. It’s here, in and around Marseille, that we uncovered our latest collection of antiques—pieces that speak to the city’s maritime spirit and eclectic soul.

Sylvie rummaged through dusty, forgotten warehouses, met with third generation antique dealers and found herself wandering through vibrant seaside markets to curate this collection.
