This bench nearly got away from us. Found in Montpellier from dealers who traveled from Portugal with their best haul, it’s a 19th-century piece with all the right details - high sides, a perfectly worn seat, and that deep, rich patina that only comes from age. The kind of bench that feels like it’s seen things, maybe sat outside a rustic Portuguese farmhouse or lined the walls of a bustling tavern. Now, it’s ready for its next chapter - against a gallery wall, in an entryway, or anywhere that needs a little soul.

This piece is worn and aged. Like many antique wood pieces, this bench has evidence of previous wood worm holes and has been repaired in the past. It has cracks, patina and stains, but we think that only adds to its character.
