Antique One-Of-A-Kind Sylvie Favorite

There is a whole life of letters in a small writing table like this one. Found in Avignon and dating to the 19th century, it sets a planked top over a single drawer on four turned legs. Tables like this were the everyday writing table of a French home, humble enough for the shopping list and lovely enough to keep by a window for the good letters. Sylvie would set it under a window as a desk or use it as a slim console, the drawer for whatever needs tucking away.
