Good things come to those who wait 100 years. This 19th-century walnut dresser, discovered in Lyon, reflects the city’s long tradition of craftsmanship, where woodworking thrived alongside its famed silk industry. The three curved drawers would have safeguarded folded linens, garments, or household textiles, each drawer front finished with its original pulls. Sylvie imagines it now as a bedroom center piece, filled with sweaters and sheets, or in a spacious hallway storing linens and tableware, still doing exactly what it was built to do over a century ago: keep a household beautifully in order.
