Found in Avignon and traced back to a family home in Mouriès, this early 20th century French bookshelf has three wide tiers and turned spindle posts that give it a stately but approachable presence. Once used for stacks of novels and ledgers, Sylvie sees it now as the perfect kitchen staple for bread, produce, and jars of jam, or even as a display stage for a collection of ceramics.

This beauty is mostly sanded down, with patches of previous finish visible. This antique piece wears its history beautifully. Past woodworm holes, repairs, cracks, patina, and stains all add to its character.
