Saint Uze Confit Pot
France, 19th Century
$295
Saint-Uze pottery, known as Bleus de Saint-Uze, hails from the Drôme region of France and has been turning heads since the early 1800s. Recognized for its cobalt-blue decoration on creamy earthenware, it was once a staple in rural kitchens and is now beloved by collectors. This French Saint-Uze tureen, with its delicate floral motif and clear glaze, bears slight chipping at the rim, a gentle mark of its long life. Sylvie found it in Pezanes and imagines it reborn as a flower vase on the kitchen counter or a striking utensil holder beside the stove.
