Primitive Side Table

Look at those hand-hewn legs, you can practically see the maker working away at a single plank. Found in Béziers, this primitive side table carries all the hallmarks of rural French carpentry, from its uneven plank top to the chunky drawer front that still opens with a satisfying tug, and it was likely built as a small work surface in a farmhouse where tools, letters, or kitchen essentials were set down throughout the day. Sylvie uses this now beside a couch or chair, or as a bedside table when you want something compact with real handmade character.
