Oak Farm Table
France, 19th Century
$3,995
This oak table is all honesty, heft, and history, straight from the farms around Lyon. Its hand carved barley twist legs and long oak stretcher speak to the craftsmanship of the region, and the small repair along the lower stretcher tells you it has seen real family life rather than museum quiet. Originally from Lyon and found by Sylvie in Avignon, it was built for daily meals, flour-dusted afternoons, and the kind of gatherings that stretch late into the night.
In a modern home, Sylvie loves this as a dining table for big shared bowls of pasta and candlelit dinners, or as a sprawling desk for creative work that needs space to breathe.
Dimensions:
31" H x 92" W x 35" D

Wood and metal hardware
Notes from Sylvie:
This is a stunning solid table with a drawer on either end. It looks like it has an natural oiled finish. It has minor scuffs on the surface and it has been repaired in the past, but its in exceptional shape. As with many antiques, this piece may show gentle repairs, cracks, scratches, holes, years worth of patina, and stains - just the way we like it.
