Sourced in Béziers, this wedding chest was given to a new couple to hold their first linens. It still offers the same sturdy practicality with its front-opening doors and solid oak frame. The scale makes it an easy piece to place, giving you generous storage without feeling heavy in the room. Sylvie loves it placed behind a sofa or at the foot of a bed, ready for blankets, clothing, or anything that needs a proper landing spot.

This piece has large front swinging doors with original slightly rusting hardware. Its very sturdy and well built from wide plank hardwood. As with many antiques, this piece may show gentle repairs, cracks, scratches, holes, years worth of patina, and stains - just the way we like it.
