French Vanity Mirror

France, 20th Century

$395

Vintage One-Of-A-Kind Exactly As Pictured

This petite French vanity mirror wears a cast-gilt frame of coquettish Rococo scrolls, a shell detail at the top, and curling easel feet that make it insistently tabletop-ready. It was originally made as a dressing-table mirror for close-up grooming and finishing touches; the mirrored glass shows period silvering spots and a small area of loss at the lower left, while the frame has honest surface wear. Sylvie loves setting this on a narrow console for last-minute lipstick checks and letting it steal attention among a pile of books.

Minor variations from the images may occur unless otherwise noted. All sales are final.
