The perfect dining table doesn't exis... Sourced in France, this monastery refectory table was built for shared meals. Solid hardwood throughout, with pegged joinery and a chamfered stretcher running the length beneath. The surface shows early tool marks, old repairs, nail impressions, and light splits at a few joins - all evidence of age and use, not weakness. Structurally sound and finished in a warm, mellow brown, it is a masterpiece. Sylvie loves it planted at the center of a kitchen for long, unhurried meals.
