Found in Avignon and dating to the mid-century, this rush mountain chair is made in the spirit of Charlotte Perriand - low, practical, and focused entirely on form and material. The turned wood frame is straightforward and sturdy, paired with a hand-woven rush seat and back that give it warmth and texture without ornament. The rush has aged well, holding its shape while softening slightly where it counts. Sylvie loves it pulled up to a table, tucked into a corner with a book, or used as an accent chair where its shape can stand on its own.
