This is one of those pieces that was never trying to be beautiful, just useful - and that’s exactly why it works. Found in Carpentras, this 1970's chrome task lamp follows the same design language as early workshop and desk lights, built to direct light exactly where it’s needed. The curved arm holds a rectangular hooded shade that throws light straight down, originally meant for close work, writing, repairing, reading late into the night. The chrome has softened slightly over time, with small marks that come from years of being adjusted and moved into place. Rewired for US use, with two available. Sylvie places it where light is needed - next to a bed, on a desk, or anywhere you reach for at the end of the day.
