Found in Montpelier, and originally from a maison in Marseille, this plaster bust carries the weight of someone's studied taste from the 20th century. The face reads classical - sharp cheekbones, a strong profile, hair rendered in tight curls that catch the light. It sits on a simple rectangular base, the whole thing the colour of old cream, worn soft by time and dust. Sylvie loves to place it on a shelf where morning light hits it, or on a console in an entry where it is the main character.
