Found in the Netherlands, this signed print, Le Cheval, reproduces a horse portrait by Otto Eerelman, the Groningen painter who was the great Dutch portraitist of horses and court painter to Queen Wilhelmina. Eerelman's horses were so admired that his paintings were issued as prints and hung in homes across the Netherlands, brought home by people who loved the picture even if they would never own the horse. The bay stands square in a flat Dutch landscape, a windmill to one side and a church spire in the distance, set at home in its own country. Sylvie hangs it over a console or leans it on a mantel, big enough to anchor a wall on its own.

Minor variations from the images may occur unless otherwise noted. All sales are final.
