A true Sicilian workhorse in clay form. This 19th-century preserving pot once held sardines and anchovies along the Mediterranean coast, its glazed interior designed to keep brine and oil cool in the heat. Sylvie likes it for wooden spoons, dried herbs, or a few too many paintbrushes.
