French Swirl Milk Pitcher

Found in Montpellier but originally from Normandy, this yellow glazed ceramic milk pitcher carries the same playful spirit as its companion pieces. The wonderfully whimsical green swirl handle curls dramatically from the body, while the soft pedestal base and gently flared spout give the form an almost storybook feel. Pieces like this would have been used to pour milk or cream at the table, brought out alongside morning coffee or afternoon tea.
